milan fashion week

Alberta Ferretti

I really always enjoy Alberta Ferretti's ethereal aesthetic. No matter what season, there's always a little fairie element to it. This time, though, the girls almost mermaid like with slicked back hair and ocean hues. The dresses also look like they have fishing nets on them making me think they swam to the shore and were caught on a fishing boat.

Dolce & Gabbana

I have really grown to love Dolce & Gabbana. Maybe it's for the classical prints or that fact that it's a strong and proud Italian brand. Whatever the reason, I love D&G. I fell head over heels last season for the baroque detailing and now I'm falling for the prints (again) and the summer holiday vibe. I just need to make it to Italy with these clothes.

Gucci

Gucci is glamour, Gucci is luxe. And now Gucci can add minimal to that list. I love the all around cleanliness of each look and how it's really just the color and the silhouette that stands out. A little flamenco dancer, a little Academy Awards red carpet. Plus, the show's soundtrack was one of the songs on my fall playlist.

No. 21

Quite mermaid-like at No. 21 as well. The Greek sea goddess motif on the ocean blue ensembles don't intentionally hint that these girls are mermaids but maybe they live in a beach town, who knows. It's interesting to see what looks like mussels or barnacles on one dress, too. No jewelry needed there.
